Software Engineer

Role: Backend Software Engineer Tech Stack: Typescript, React 18, NextJS 13, Xata DB, Ethereum blockchain, Vercel Responsibilities: - Meeting with the development team to discuss user interface ideas and applications. - Integration of user-facing elements developed by front-end developers with server side logic - Writing reusable, testable, and efficient code - Design and implementation of low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications - Implementation of security and data protection - Integration of data storage solutions Project task: complete the development of backends for Fankee platform, with particular focus on: - integrate blockchain-side APIs that acts as service providers; - implement enabling middleware with persistence and data optimization; - implement frontend APIs that will be exposed to touchpoints (webApp / mobileApp). What you’ll be doing: * Manage individual projects priorities, deadlines and deliverables with your technical expertise * Being mentored and work directly with the CTO. * Write high quality, well tested code to meet the needs of your customers Period: 20-30 days (full-time or part-time) Starting date: As soon as possible, ~ beginning of March 2023 Pay Transparency Notice: Depending on your work location, expertise and performance, the target monthly salary for this position can range from $2000 to $10000. In case of a good fit, a return offer for a full-time position will be discussed with a target bonus + target equity + benefits. We are building Fankee, a fan-owned music label that, leveraging the power of blockchain, provides music producers with the opportunity to turn their pieces into chart-topping hits, while enabling music lovers to become true hit scouts and makers. Therefore, we are re-thinking the relationship between music creators and fans. With Fankee solution: • Artists: will skip record contracts, make money up front by collecting from their fans to be able to promote their music from day one • Fans: will discover, own and share the success of their favorite artists, becoming their primary means of promotion since, for the very first time, they will have skin in the game. We are about to complete our first MVP release before we go out into the marketplace to raise fund. The project will be led by our Principal Engineer, Marco Bettiolo (VP of eng. / Interim CTO at Tes and Senior Engineering Manager at Hopin), and our CTO, Francesco Spigaroli (15+ years in tech, serial entrepreneur).
